(770) 569-1706
The Georgia Tech Wang Experiential Lab is a fully immersive research space supporting Cognitive AI for Health and Medicine through an NSF-funded program. Designed as an open task order project, the lab was developed in collaboration with POH+W Architects as a dedicated XR environment integrating simulation and visualization to advance interdisciplinary research under the leadership of Dr. May D. Wang and the College of Engineering / School of Biomedical Engineering.

The space features a Vicon virtual reality system, along with VR, AR, and 3-D holographic technologies that enable real-time interaction and data visualization. A custom ceiling grid system houses projectors, tracking cameras, lighting, VR cable management, and integrated observation tools supporting flexibility, collaboration, and technical performance.

Designed to optimize acoustical isolation, the environment incorporates high NRC partitions, ceiling panels, and an observation window. Specialized paints and flooring maximize projection clarity, while one-way glass and privacy screens preserve patient separation from research observation.
