POH+W Architects designed a state-of-the-art Indoor Firing Range at the Cobb County Public Safety Police Academy. The 65,000-SF expansion features reinforced concrete tilt panels and a steel roof structure, housing two 50-yard, 50% tactical firing ranges with 20 lanes each and one 100-yard, non-tactical rifle range with 10 lanes.

The facility also includes essential support spaces such as offices, classrooms, gun cleaning rooms, workrooms, and ammunition and target storage areas. In addition to the building expansion, site improvements included the addition of 440 parking spaces, a dedicated training area for police vehicle maneuvers, and an 8-foot-wide running path, enhancing the overall training environment for law enforcement personnel.
